Get out and have some fun at our 6th Annual Maunesha River Ice Fisheree, Rabbit Hunt, Broomball Tourney and Euchre Tourney being held on Saturday, January 23rd 2010. A host of fun for all ages awaits so we encourage you to join us for the day. This year’s events include:

  • Ice fishing contest - Open to waters in Dane, Columbia and Jefferson counties.
  • Rabbit hunting tournament – Register your three person team now!
  • Broomball Tournament – Highlighted by an exhibition game between the Marshall Lions and the Marshall Fire Dept. – Sign up your team now!
  • Euchre tournament - With cash and door prizes given away prizes!
  • Various raffles - Chances to win cash, ice fishing gear, hunting supplies, guns, and other great prizes!
  • Karaoke, DJ and Dancing starting at 8:00 pm
  • Food and beverages throughout the day to keep you full and warm!!

Steak & Lobster Feed – August 8th — Buy your tickets now!!

lobtailCome out and have fun at the Marshall Lions Club 17th Annual Steak & Lobster Feed on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at Marshall Firemen’s Park with meals served from 3-8 PM. Patrons will enjoy fresh steamed Maine lobster and beef tenderloin steak grilled to perfection.  Dinner includes fresh sweet corn picked that morning, potatoes, rolls, butter and coffee.  Get your meal tickets by July 30th from Paul Wehking at 608-347-4959. Meal prices:

 

  • $16: Steak only (two beef tenderloins)
  • $19: Steak & Lobster (one beef tenderloin, one lobster tail) 
  • $22: Lobster only (two lobster tails)

·         Raffle tickets are also available for $ 5.00 each or 5 for $ 20.00.

 

 

The Medina Marvels 4-H Club will have a variety of desserts for sale and ice cream treats will also be available.

 

The day’s entertainment includes a Capitol All-Stars baseball game at 1:00 pm, a petting zoo for the kids, musical entertainment from singer Jessica Unser from 4 – 6 pm and the band Crosswire playing from 7 - 11 pm.

 

Steak and Lobster dinner tickets must be purchased in advance by July 30th. Call Paul Wehking for meal or raffle ticket at 608-347-4959.  Because the lobsters are flown in from Maine on the day before the event, steak and lobster tickets are not sold the day of the event. Hot dogs, hamburgers and all other food items are available at the park the day of the event.

 

Proceeds from this fundraiser helps the Marshall Lions make our community better by reinvesting in projects such a coats for kids (Marshall Schools), eyeglasses and hearing aids for those in need, support of FFA and other student leadership projects, Marshall Youth Club, Movies in the Park, and many other projects. Your support is very much appreciated.

Brat & Burger Fry

burgersCome join the Marshall Lions Club on Friday, July 17th for a Brat Fry at Lions’ Park.  We will be serving food and beverages from 4-8 PM.  In addition to brats, we will also be serving burgers, cheese burgers, potato salad, chips, and ice cream.  For curbside service, call in your brat/burger order to: 239- 0961 or 516-0921.

Children Eye Screening at Marshall ELC

The Marshall Lions Club will be conducting an Eye Screening Session on June 3rd at the Marshall Early Learning Center (ELC).  Members from the Cottage Grove Lions Club will also be volunteering to conduct the screens.  Marshall Area Children between 4-7 years of age can attend this session.

Spaghetti Dinner & Easter Egg Hunt Recap

The Marshall Lions Club held its annual Spaghetti Dinner and Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 5th.  Hundreds of patrons joined us at the Marshall Legion Hall to enjoy a plate of warm spaghetti and to support the club.  At 2 pm, the Easter Bunny arrived and kicked-off the Easter Egg Hunt.  Children had the opportunity to collect hundreds of Easter eggs, and seven lucky winners found “special” eggs which entitled them to win grand prizes.  Winners included:

Spaghetti Dinner

spaghettiOur annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Sunday, April 5th at the Marshall American Legion clubhouse.  Spaghetti will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Tickets will be sold at the door (Adults: $6.50; Kids 5-12: $4.50; Kids under 4: Free).  The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance and start the easter egg hunt.  The day will end with a raffle drawing and cash prizes awarded (you need not be present to win). Contact any Lions member for raffle tickets.
